Cats

Some years ago I made a series of monotypes dedicated to cats as travelers between the worlds. It was part of a collaboration with my friend Eugenia Oganova, with Eugenia discussing cats’ multi-dimensional nature and me providing some intuitive visuals via monotypes.

I love any animals, but cats became my most frequent live models, since they are here, in my house, modeling for free. At this point I’ve been drawing them for so long that it seems I can draw a cat with my eyes closed. They are also frequent dream companions and served as guides in my two books, Dream Manual #1 and Dream Manual #2…

I will dedicate a separate gallery to the Dream Manual #2, but here are the Cat Traveler monotypes. I still have several of them, but many now reside throughout the world.
